"Web Wise" Column - Columbia Daily Tribune

August 1st 2009 marked my debut as a columnist for the Columbia Daily Tribune - columns appear in the Saturday Business section.

My goal is to deliver valuable content for the majority of business owners and entrepreneurs who are NOT real familiar with how Web sites and email and Google really work - but who know such knowledge is essential for their business success.  I'll try to explain terms I use, too.

For example, I just got a call this morning from a client who asked what web "hosting" fees were - I explained that it's like paying rent for your website space.  You usually pay monthly, sometimes yearly - and some people charge what I think are sky-high prices for it, too.
